LUDHIANA– Under the leadership of S. Inderjit Singh Navyug (President of UCPMA) held an urgent meeting on burning issue of JBR water technology at UCPMA office, Gill Road, Ludhiana. J. B. R. technology has all kinds of Pollution Control Equipment Common Effluent Treatment Plants with Zero Liquid Discharge System and Air Pollution Devices. JBR has an agreement with LETS (Ludhiana Effluent Treatment Society). If there is any change in the policy of JBR technology then he first discussed with LETS but today he suddenly increases the charges of Rs.0.10/- on per litter water that means if any Electroplating Unit of cycle parts lifting of the effluent to JBR than he will pay Rs.0.79/- instead Rs.69/-. Currently, 2100 electroplating units (Ludhiana, Jalandhar & Mohali) are giving 90 Lac litter water to JBR. Now they will pay Rs.0.10/- extra bill to JBR.
There is crisis in electroplating units especially Cycle Parts. Already industry going into recession due to the various factors and now extra burden more putting on an industry. S. Inderjit Singh Navyug (President of UCPMA) said that they will be discussed with JBR on this matter for taken back to his above-said order.
