Why are Indian campaigns against gender based violence ambiguous?

Loud and clear is something that we are not being. One of India’s biggest fights, the fight against crime against women, has the weakest campaign. Well meaning awareness programs are bereft of the sharpness of the message that would ideally drive home the point. Molesters are not going to change overnight. In fact they might never change at all! Their conditioning has been such that they feel entitled to their behaviour. Unless a blunt enough message is not out there, no one is likely to take any notice at all.

Below is a typical search on google for Indian posters about molestation. Scroll through them and you will realise that they are tame, symbolic and ambiguous. For a subject of such grave concern, insinuations and innuendos are as good as nothing for something that requires a firm and blaring message.
