Ludhiana– 60th Annual convocation of Malwa Central College of Education for Women was held at 12 March 2018 in the college Centenary Hall. The Programme was started with Shabad recital. Dr. Naginder Kaur, Principal of the college formally welcomed the chief guest and other dignitaries present on the occasion. She also presented annual report highlighting various achievements of the students. The chief guest of the day declared 60th annual convocation open and degrees were awarded to 34 M.Ed. Students, 231 B.Ed. students and 25 diplomas to Students of Fashion textile and dress course of Malwa Institute of Professional Studies and Services (MIPSS) by the chief guest and principal of the college.
Hon’ble chief guest Prof. (Dr.) B.S. Ghuman congratulated all the students who receive degrees and prizes. In his addressed, he motivated the students to pursue their responsibilities with sincerity and dedication to serve the nation. He advised the students to contribute to nation building through their services by inculcating values, helping the students to attain excellence in education and building the characters of the future generations. The chief guest of the day declared 60th annual convocation closed.
After the closing of the convocation ceremony, the Academic prizes were awarded on the basis of marks obtained in the University Examination to those students who qualified all the examinations by the college during the session. Total 19 prizes to M.Ed. students and 89 prizes to B.Ed. students were given. The chief guest of the day released book authored by Dr. Naginder Kaur, Principal of the college and Dr. Rekha titled ‘Philosophical and Sociological Perspectives in Education’ of M.Ed. the curriculum of Panjab University, Chandigarh. Another book is also released which is authored by Dr. Sukhwinder Singh titled ‘Assessment for Learning’ of B.Ed. a curriculum of Panjab University, Chandigarh.
