This batch of graduate students is the first ever of the first cycle of semester system initiated by the PU in 2014-15.
He hoped that the students who were wearing these robes of Honour prove themselves worthy in their future endeavours and bring glory to their Alma mater. He enumerated the names of many glorious personalties who studied in this college and who went on to serve the nation and hoped that this batch of students also follow in their footsteps. There are nearly 800 universities in the country today. Employment of the youth and their skill development is their uppermost concern. Another serious concern is the mass exodus of Indian, mostly Punjabi students to foreign universities.
It does not behove us to desert the land for whom our Gurus and people like Bhagat Singh and other freedom fighters sacrificed their lives. People like Dr. APJ Kalam, Dr. Manmohan Singh never settled abroad. Though there is no harm in studying abroad but the country needs you. Recognise the spark in you. Making in India is only possible if you are inspired. The Chief Guest was felicitated and the function concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
