Ludhiana – A mega job fair would be held at ITI ground on March 1 under the ‘Ghar Ghar Naukri’ scheme of Punjab Government. MLAs from Ludhiana West Bharat Bhushan Ashu and Ludhiana East Sanjay Talwar would inaugurate the fair. Divulging the details, Deputy Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Agrawal said that this initiative of Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh is one of revolutionary step to provide the job to every household.
He said that around 20 prominent companies are participating in the job fair on March 1 where thousands of youths can take benefit by getting employment into these companies.To facilitate the youths, ‘On the Spot’ registration would also be carried out in the job fair, DC added. He informed that this job fair would provide an opportunity to the youths to showcase their talent. He claimed that this program empowering the students by providing them jobs and making them partners in the progress of the state.
He further said that the entire selection process has been made purely on merit basis.Pradeep Kumar Agrawal further disclosed that this time, the state government has increased ambit of the job fair as now not only the technical education department but the departments of higher education, medical education, employment generation and skill development mission are also participating in the job fair.He told that more than 40,000 jobs are being offered during the job fairs across the state by the 1000 employers.He said these job fairs are being organized in the government industrial training institutes, government polytechnic colleges, and private universities in the state.
