It is only April and the sun is already blazing heat like it is June or July. Is this the beginning of summers or we are living in a hot cooker? According to the reports given by PAU, the temperature is already touching 36⁰ in the day and 29⁰ at night. Dr Prabhjot Kaur, incharge of PAU’s weather department, also said that there are chances of rain on 11-12th April but nothing has been seen as of now.
Due to increasing temperature, there are high chances of fungal infection said skin specialist Dr Anil Talwar. Apart from hot weather, pollution, dust and ill-lifestyle are some of the factors which are contributing to increasing skin problems and infections. The doctor has directed the people of Ludhiana to keep the body clean and dry, wear clean garments and stay hydrated to prevent themselves from such problems prevailing in summer.
Unfortunately, hot weather is hitting the city severely as fruits and vegetables are also getting affected. The weather department has advised farmers to keep their farm wet and sprayed in order to protect them from increasing temperature. The temperature is going to increase in the upcoming months, prevention is in our hands so its better to keep yourself hydrated and healthy to beat the summer heat.
