The budget session of the Punjab Assembly turned into a “Heated Room” when SAD leader Majithia and Congress Minister Sidhu exchanged barbs.
The Punjab Vidhan Sabha was organized to propose and discuss the final Punjab Budget, 2019 which soon ended on a stormy note when Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Majithia raised his voice against Navjot Singh Sidhu’s “utterances” on Pulwama Terror Attack.
Last year, Navjot Singh Sidhu visited Pakistan to attend the oath-taking ceremony of Imran Khan, a cricketer-turned-politician and an old friend of Sidhu. Navjot Singh Sidhu also remarked that “You cannot blame Pakistan, you cannot blame an Individual” when asked about his views on Pulwama Terror Attack.
Using his “utterances”, former Akali Minister sought the dismissal of Sidhu by saying “We want Sidhu should be thrown out of the cabinet for his Utterance” which in turn raged the SAD-BJP leaders and lead to a Verbal Clash.
The speaker repeatedly asked the parties to sit and not to disrupt the assembly, but, due to non-hearing and disregarding the orders SAD leaders were asked to leave the room and the assembly was postponed.
