Ludhiana – PCTE Group of Institutes organized a Journalism and Mass Communication conclave on “Media Trends & The Future.” The Conclave was inaugurated by 4 renowned media personalities namely Ms. Anisha Sareen, Bureau Head, Hindustan Times, Mr. Mohit Behl, Principal Correspondent, Times of India., RJ Mannat , Big FM & Mr. Suvrat Jain, from Theatre industry graced the occasion.
The conclave started with the first speaker Ms. Anisha Sareen who discussed that time should never be a barrier, wherein hiding behind the gender is no excuse, and one should keep his/ her emotions in control in this industry and she further discussed the essence of writing skills in media industry , she also shared her journey as a crime reporter, the next speaker Ms. RJ Mannat, discussed about the current scenario of the Radio Industry and further discussed that one should have the zeal to learn new things and radio is all about voice modulation and how you act according to the situation.
Mr. Mohit Behl, discussed that multiplying the skills in the media industry is the need of an hour, he further discussed that students should step into the regional language newspapers and he he also encouraged them to be curious to learn new things and must go for the internships as they play an important role in their career. Mr. Suvrat Jain concluded the occasion by discussing the realities of Film Industry, that how from an actor to a junior artist hard work pays off, he further shared his personal experiences that how his multiple rejections in film industry made him strong.
Dr. Gautam Bansal, Director, PCTE Group of Institutes said that he is really amazed and proud of the Journalism Department for conducting the conclave smoothly and effectively and further stated that events like these help the students to actually learn from the experience of great personalities from their respective field.
Dr K.N.S Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes congratulated the entire Journalism Department and further added by saying that the entire event was highly interactive, where the speakers motivated and educated the students about the Media industry and gave an opportunity to learn from their own experiences.
