Sensitization Workshop on Financial Assistance & Lean Manufacturing Competitiveness Scheme


Ludhiana– S.S Bedi, Cluster Development Manager, welcomed all the dignitaries and provided details of cluster intervention program for the garment industry, he said that there is a plan available for the government apparel industry to implement lean manufacturing. He stressed that the unit should come forward to take advantage of available schemes for MSME. He told that 80% subsidy is available for the services of consultants.

Vishav Bandhu Monga, Director of Industries and commerce Punjab, Chandigarh. Regarding the new industrial policy for the upliftment of MSME, especially for the garment sector. G Saravanan, Regional Director, National Productivity Council, Chandigarh presented the details of the lean manufacturing competitiveness program for the benefit of the garment industry. They informed that production can be reduced by implementing various equipment of manufacturing cost. Amritinder Singh, Vice President- Cluster Business Leader Small Business Banking, YES BANK Ltd. Provide details on overdraft facility and other various financial plans for MSME’s.

S.S Rakhi, Functional Manager, District Industry Center, Ludhiana also told about the need for such programs, he insisted that the units should Udyog Aadhar no to avail the benefit of the Govt. Schemes. Sanjeev Kumar Verma, Additional Director/State Coordinator, PCRA Chandigarh presented the details of energy conservation to reduce the cost of production. Ashok Kumar, a coordinator of MSME cluster, informed about the role of organization for the development of the cluster.

Sandeep Salwan, President Apparel Manufacturing Association of India(AMAI), Ludhiana, said that the members of his association will come forward and SPV for this activity has already been constituted.He also presented vote of thanks to the dignitaries and industrialists. During the program 50 Industrialist attended the program and got the inputs of the Lean Manufacturing Competitiveness and other schemes of the MSME’s.

Sandeep Salwan, President of Apparel Manufacturing Association of India(AMAI), Ludhiana said that members of his team will come forward and SPV has been formed for this activity. He also voted for thanksgiving persons and industrialists.
