As the nation celebrates the second anniversary of the surgical strikes the Indian Army made the benevolent effort to spread awareness about what the army has been doing on the borders. The Sikh Light Infantry of the Indian Army carried out a day-long activity. A video showcased the toughest job, witnessing extremes on the borders of the nation also informed the people about the weaponry used. There were many things that were there for the visitors to experience including small weapons that were installed at a special selfie corner where the people came and clicked pictures. Some people also dressed up in the army uniform and clicked pictures. Even the backpacks that were carried by the army during the surgical strikes were on display including rocket launchers, AK-47s and other equipment. An information desk was set up to brief people, especially the youth who are motivated to join the Indian Army. Lastly the army men distributed sweets among children and small souvenirs were also given away to people so that they could take back good memories.
