Two bus drivers get 2 year imprisonment

Back in 2013, two bus drivers while racing with each other to get more passengers on Ferozepur road hit a 18-year-old Harjot Singh who was going to his college on a bike at 9:30 in the morning. In their competition, one of the buses collided with his bike while the other’s tire crushed him down to death within minutes. While both the drivers ran away from the incident and later denied being involved in the same, the court turned down their pleas of defense.

The court has sentenced two drivers to two-year rigorous imprisonment for death due to negligence and also a fine of 8000, failure to which, the rigorous imprisonment shall be extended for two months and fifteen days.
