World Tourism Day Celebrated by a College in Ludhiana

Ludhiana – It was fun and frolic time for the students of ‘Department of Hotel Management, of Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management and Technology (GGNIMT), Ghumar Mandi, Ludhiana as they celebrated ‘World Tourism Day’ at its campus. The highlight of the event was to make residents of Ludhiana, create an interest for tourism potential within Ludhiana. A video Íconic Spot of Ludhiana’ was launched on the occasion. The students went to different and famous spots of Ludhiana and shot videos. It included Recreational, Educational, Business, Health and other places of Ludhiana. A social media page was also launched.

Dr. Harpreet Singh, Principal, GGNIMT addressed the students and said Global trends are compelling the tourism sector to adapt effective business models for customer satisfaction. Our youth is expected to discover such modes and groom themselves accordingly. Prof. Manjit S Chabbra, Director, GGNIMT said that there is a lot of potential of domestic tourism for Ludhiana residents within Ludhiana. The only need is to explore more.
